Ipod Update: Runaway by Janet Jackson (Classic Music)

The first music concert I have ever attended was to see Janet Jackson perform when I was 12 years old. It absolutely blew my mind. She was to that generation Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga rolled into one, to the power of 10. If you are a fan of Janet Jackson's, you will know just how much the artists named above and many others borrowed and in some instances, straight copied and jacked Janet's style. I can't blame them though, because her and her brother Michael Jackson have influenced 4 decades of music, and their legacy looks like it will extend for centuries more.

I was lucky enough to see Janet Jackson in concert again last week. My amazing partner got the tickets for us as part of our 9 year anniversary celebration and it was an unforgettable experience. Everyone at the concert was so hyped to be there and their enthusiasm really added to the atmosphere. Janet's performance was flawless as expected. To commemorate my unforgettable night, I thought I'd share my fave Janet song and music video with you. This music video was also the catalyst for my slight obsession with the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil and huaraches (aka Mexican sandals).
